Looking for more IHG points? I’ve got good news!
Via One Mile at a Time, you can get up to a 100% bonus when you buy IHG points through November 16, 2016. But the maximum bonus amount will vary, so you’ll have to log-in to see your targeted bonus!
You can buy up to 60,000 IHG points in increments of 1,000. And if you’ve been targeted for a 100% bonus, you’ll save even more than you can using the Points & Cash trick!
I’ll explain the details of this promotion and help you decide whether it makes sense for you!
Here’s the Deal
Link: Buy IHG Points Promotion
IHG normally sells points for 1.15 to 1.35 cents per point. And you can buy points for as little as 0.6 cents each with the IHG Points & Cash trick.
But with this promotion, valid through November 16, 2016, it’s possible to pay even less for your IHG points, depending on what kind of bonus you’ve been targeted for.
If you were targeted for a 100% bonus and buy the maximum number of IHG points allowed, you’ll pay $690 for 60,000 IHG points and get another 60,000 IHG points with your purchase. For a total of 120,000 IHG points.
And each point will cost ~0.58 cents ($690 / 120,000 points). A little less than you’d pay using the Points & Cash trick!
But with an 80% bonus, you’d pay $690 for 60,000 IHG points and get only 48,000 bonus IHG points. For a total of 108,000 IHG points. So the cost of the points is ~0.64 cents each ($690 / 108,000 points). Slightly MORE than you’d pay using the Points & Cash trick.
Is It Worth It?
This deal could be worth it if you’ve been targeted for a 100% bonus. And it might make sense for folks who need more IHG points for an upcoming stay!
But as always, I suggest doing to math to make sure you’re getting the best deal.
Let’s say you want to use points for a stay at the amazing InterContinental Bora Bora Le Moana Resort and you were targeted for a 100% bonus with this IHG promotion.
I found rooms in April 2017 for ~$749 or 60,000 IHG points per night.
With this deal, you could buy 60,000 IHG points and get another 60,000 bonus IHG points for $690. So you’d pay just $690 and have enough points for 2 nights (120,000 IHG points) at the InterContinental Bora Bora Le Moana Resort!
That’s a savings of ~$808 ($1,498 for 2 nights – $690)!

With the Chase IHG Rewards Club Card, you’ll get 10% points back on award redemptions.
The $49 annual fee (waived the first year) is a bargain for a free night at any IHG hotel. That’s why I keep it in my wallet!
And don’t forget to check your email and spam folder to see if you’ve been targeted for the 100,000 IHG points offer!
Emily and I don’t receive a commission for this IHG card offer, but we’ll always let you know about the best deals!
Bottom Line
IHG is offering folks up to a 100% on purchased IHG points through November 16, 2016. But you’ll have to login to see what bonus you’ve been targeted for.
This deal might make sense for some folks, especially if you have a specific stay in mind. But I always recommend doing the math to make sure you’re getting the best deal.
