Citi is making their credit cards more tempting again! They just increased the sign-up bonus for the Citi Prestige to 50,000 points after meeting minimum spending.
And now they’ve given the Citi ThankYou Premier a sign-up bonus of 40,000 points after you spend $3,000 in the first 3 months of opening your account.
With this card you’ll also get:
- 3 Citi ThankYou points per $1 spent on travel (like airfare, taxis, tolls, even gas stations!)
- 2 Citi ThankYou points per $1 spent on dining and entertainment (like amusement parks, sporting events, movies)
- No foreign transaction fees
What Are Citi ThankYou Points Worth?
Citi ThankYou points are worth at least 1.25 cents each. Because you can use them to buy travel through the Citi ThankYou portal at a rate 1.25 cents per point. You can buy:
- Airfare
- Car Rentals
- Cruises
- Hotels
The $95 annual fee is NOT waived the 1st year.
So the current 40,000 point sign-up bonus is worth at least $500 towards travel!

Know the New Citi Application Rules Before Applying!
Citi has tightened their credit card application rules. They are now restricting folks from earning the sign-up bonus from more than 1 card of the same “brand” within 24 months.
So if you’ve had the Citi Prestige within the past 24 months, you will likely not be receive the bonus for the Citi ThankYou Premier. And if you haven’t signed-up for either card, take a look at the current Citi Prestige offer and decide which card will get you the Biggest Travel!
