The latest Club Carlson category changes will go into affect tomorrow, March 1, 2017.
I’m not happy this news is so last minute! But folks should look over the list to see if a hotel you were planning on booking is going up in category. Because you need to book it by tonight to save points!
That said, most of the hotels on the list are off the beaten path. So it’s unlikely these changes will affect most peoples’ travel plans.
Here’s a list of the 2017 Club Carlson hotel category changes:
The hotels in the US and Asia are going up. And for the most part, the hotels in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa are moving to lower categories.
Like the highly rated Radisson Blu Hotel, Istanbul Pera, that’s moving from a Category 7 hotel to a Category 5. So it will cost 44,000 Club Carlson points instead of 70,000 Club Carlson points per night after March 1, 2017.
Earning & Using Club Carlson Points
If you live in the eastern US, there are plenty of Club Carlson hotels (there aren’t nearly as many out west). And there are lots of locations in Europe.
But here aren’t many ways to earn Club Carlson points. You can sign-up for the:
