But, to earn that many bonus points, you’d have to stay 25 paid nights between April 1, 2016, and June 30, 2016!
You can also earn 5,000 bonus Hyatt points when you have 5 paid nights within the same timeframe, which is more realistic for lots of folks. That’s enough points for a free award night at a Hyatt Category 1 hotel.

Starting April 1, 2016, folks can register at this link for Hyatt’s new “Stay More Play More” promotion.

75,000 Hyatt Points Is More Than Enough for 2 Award Nights at the Fanciest Hyatt Hotels in the World, Like the Park Hyatt Milan. But You’ll Need 25 Paid Nights During the Promotion!
When you register, you’ll earn bonus Hyatt points on paid stays from April 1, 2016, through June 30, 2016. You’ll get:
- 5,000 Hyatt points when you stay 5 nights
- 15,000 Hyatt points when you stay 10 nights
- 30,000 Hyatt points when you stay 15 nights
- 50,000 Hyatt points when you stay 20 nights
- 75,000 Hyatt points when you stay 25 nights
Only paid stays and Points + Cash stays are eligible for this promotion. Award stays will NOT earn bonus points.
And, the points you’ll earn are on top of normal points-earning, and any bonuses for elite status with Hyatt.
We don’t have the full terms and conditions of the offer yet, but stays at M Life hotels through Hyatt’s partnership with M Life generally do NOT count.
And, like previous Hyatt promotions, stays booked through online travel agencies like Expedia will most likely NOT be eligible for the promotion. You must book directly with Hyatt.
Is This a Good Deal?
To earn the full 75,000 bonus Hyatt points, you’d have to stay 25 nights at Hyatt hotels between April and June 2016. That’s nearly 1 month in Hyatt hotels out of three! For most folks, that’s not feasible.
Stay 5 Nights and Earn 5,000 Extra Hyatt Points! That’s Enough for a Free Night at the Hyatt Place Managua
However, if you have travel coming up soon, it’s worth signing-up and shooting for 5 nights. Or 10 if you have a few trips booked.

When you stay 5 paid nights during the promotion period, you’ll earn 5,000 bonus Hyatt points. That’s enough for a free award night at a Hyatt Category 1 hotel, like the Hyatt Regency Albuquerque or Hyatt Place Managua in Nicaragua – a nice bonus if you have paid stays anyway!

5,000 Hyatt points is also a good start toward an award stay at a higher-category hotel, like the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa, where Emily and I stayed. An award night there, and other Hyatt Category 6 hotels, costs 25,000 Hyatt points per night.
Pad Your Hyatt Points With Transfers From Chase Ultimate Rewards
Remember, you can always transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Hyatt to top-up your account for an award stay if you have the Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Ink Plus, or (no longer offered) Chase Ink Bold card.

But to get that many, you’d need to stay 25 nights at Hyatt hotels during the promotion period of April 1, 2016, through June 30, 2016. That’s a lot of nights!
For most of y’all, it might be easier to aim for the 5,000 bonus Hyatt points you get after 5 paid nights. You’ll earn enough points for a free night at a Hyatt Category 1 hotel. Or save the points for an award night at a higher-category Hyatt hotel.
If you have trips coming up in the next few months, I recommend signing-up just in case. It’s quick to register, and always good to earn extra points for your stays!
