1. Earn & Share IHG Points
IHG Rewards Club & Coca-Cola are bringing back the Share Forever summer promotion. You’ll earn IHG bonus points for yourself and to share (if you want) when you stay at IHG hotels.
To earn the points, register and stay at IHG hotels between May 1, 2016, and September 5, 2016, at 11:59 pm Eastern Time.

Use Your IHG Points at the Beautiful InterContinental in Bali, Indonesia!
Each IHG Rewards Club member will get a targeted offer. And each stay gets you closer to your next Reward Level.
For example, my offer includes 7,000 bonus IHG points if I stay 1 night by May 31, 2016. And up to 65,400 bonus points (and a free night to share or keep) if I stay a total of 24 nights during the promotion period.
Your offer might be different! And most folks won’t stay 24 nights in IHG hotels before September. But it’s worth registering even if you’ll stay 1 night!
Stays at the following hotels count towards this promotion:
Award nights, certain discounted rates, and stays booked through 3rd-party sites like Orbitz and Expedia will NOT earn bonus points. Check the terms & conditions for the full list of exclusions!
This could be a good deal for folks who already have plans for paid stays at IHG hotels. And it’s worth signing-up in case you happen to stay in the future!
Keep in mind, you can also earn 70,000 IHG points when you spend $2,000 on purchases within the 1st 3 months of opening a Chase IHG Rewards card. And you’ll get 1 free night at any IHG hotel on your card anniversary each year, which can be worth much more than the $49 annual fee (waived the 1st year).
2. Use Wi-Fi Calling While Overseas With Your AT&T iPhone
Via One Mile at a Time, AT&T iPhone customers can now make and receive calls from US phone numbers while abroad without incurring long distance charges. But you’ll need a Wi-Fi connection.
T-Mobile has a similar Wi-Fi call assist set-up. My friend has had good luck using it along with T-Mobile’s free text messages.
Wi-Fi calling is a good option in countries where Google Hangouts doesn’t allow you to dial to US phone numbers, such as from Mexico.
And remember you can call 800 numbers with Skype for free too. This is helpful when calling your credit cards or banks.
Here’s my post about more ways to make free calls while traveling abroad.
3. Discover Card 2% Cash Back Bonus at Grocery Stores
Via Slickdeals, some folks are being offered a 2% cash back bonus on up to $500 in monthly purchases at grocery stores with their Discover it card.
This is NOT a part of the rotating 5% quarterly categories. And the deal is good through September 30, 2016.
Just log into your account where you’d normally activate the bonus. And if you’re eligible, the 2% bonus option should be just below the current 5% offer.
4. April 12th Only! Free Ice Cream! Yay!
Via Maximizing Money, April 12th, 2016 (today!), is Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry’s. Now that’s fun news!
You’ll be able to get a free scoop of your favorite flavor at Ben & Jerry’s locations around the world!
And if you buy something, remember to use a card that earns bonus points at restaurants. Such as your registered Discover it (5% cash back at restaurants this quarter). Or your Chase Sapphire Preferred card that always earns 2X points on dining out. And that includes dessert!
